We had a bit of a traveling nightmare today as Jackson and I were on different flights since I was originally scheduled to fly from NYC to meet him in Savannah. That, obviously, was not going to work and his flights were sold out. I got booked on United to depart and arrive within an hour of him. Well....UNITED IS THE WORST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD. IN THE WORLD. IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. (end of rant.)
I was actually on my United flight when the pilot comes on and announces that the flight had been deleted from the system accidentally and was now delayed. UGH. I had a close connection and was going to get stuck in NYC overnight. (Hilarious, might I add, that I would have been stuck in NYC after my heart break of the delayed project.)
Thankfully, Jackson was still in the terminal and was able to talk to a really nice gate agent, Corina, and got me booked on a new Delta flight. I will be at the airport for 4 hours by the time I take off, but c'est la vie.
Anyway, as I am getting off of my United flight I pass a lady in the jet way who was in the terminal with Jackson. She says, "Oh you must be Mrs. Petefish! What a sweet, sweet husband you have to take care of you like that." It made my heart smile. Yes, Jackson sometimes makes me want to scream my head off, but he loves me and takes such good care of me. I love him, too.
Here's to a great 5th anniversary weekend getaway with my WONDERFUL husband...once we finally get there....

Funny pup
I got these photos of Madison celebrating the big 1-0. Please notice her "bandage" on her leg.
"Oh, you want me to share with Macy?! What in the world?!"I wanted to send out a few pictures of my 10th birthday party! Thank you for all the birthday wishes and cards. My mom & dad got me a cake, some new balls (my favorite game) and several new bone treats. What a great day I've had. As you all know I had a life changing injury when I was only 7 weeks old. I still have to wear a cast but I know I've been so blessed. I know there are a lot of dogs out there that have it much worse off than me. So again thank you all for all your well wishes and prayers over my first ten years, and I'm ready for ten more great years! I love you all. Grace Madison Duckwall
Now the reason that this makes me laugh SO hard and shake my head at Guy is that when Madison was 7 weeks old I was taking her outside. It was a gusty winter's day and the wind caught the door and it shut on her BACK leg. She was OK and nothing was broken, but Guy has never let me forget it. Imagine my surprise when this emails comes through showing Madison wearing a "bandage" on the leg that was never hurt. What a nerd he is. I laughed and laughed. I had a terrible day and this was a welcome stress reliever. Thanks, Madison. ;)
10 very happy years

Delayed NYC= Broken-hearted
As some of you know, my NYC project got postponed. I got an email on the Saturday morning before my scheduled Sunday departure. To say that I was upset would be the biggest understatement ever. EVER. I pretty much cried the whole day because I was just so excited to go and work in the City. The start date was delayed until January 3rd, but that did not work for me for a few reasons:
1. I really wanted to be in the City for Christmas. Forget business need, I have tourist needs- HA!
2. I am scheduled to be in India January 6- late February. It would be a bit of a commute from India to NYC. ;)
At this point whether or not I go work in the City is up in the air. I would still love to be there for the spring and that option is on the table. Everything really depends on how my other client work ends up. I know...biggest bummer ever. I've been in a funk for days on end now. I'm pretty sure Jackson would like to pound whoever caused the delay! ;):)
I'm still wanting to go to NYC to see the Rockettes' new show this year. TEAR.
Happy Halloween
Side note: I have now cleaned up all of our Halloween decor and I am ready for Thanksgiving. :)
