Tonight we went to
Slumdog Millionaire with our dear friend Meg. It has got to be one of the better movies that has been released in a long time. This movie makes you want to cry at the injustice of India's caste system. It makes you want to cheer for the main character. It is a movie of love triumphing all. It is a wonderful, beautiful film. I cannot recommend it more highly.
I am trying to see all of the movies that are nominated for "Best Picture" before the Oscars. I have seen 2 of the 5 now. I still need to see Frost/Nixon, Milk, and The Reader. Poor Jackson! :) I am hoping that for Valentine's Day Cupid brings me Kerasotes gift certificates and this...

There is nothing wrong with dreaming...right?! ;) We are actually going to San Diego for Valentine's Day and I am pretty excited for some warmth, the beach, and a reunion with Kyle & Megan
Parton (Mocha, too!). It has been far too long!
Until then...it is the start of another long week of work and school. Yippee. :) (We are actually quite grateful to have jobs, a warm home, the ability to learn, each other, and the ability to walk/hobble- God is good!)

I am excited too! I haven't seen Jackson since that Christmas in Indiana. That seems like forever ago! It will be so good to see both of you!
