Back in IN

I think we were both excited to get MacKenzie home mainly so that she could try out her new sheepskin rug. The verdict? She LOVES it!!
Snuggled in

She blends right in!
Much to our mutual chagrin, MacKenzie's first day home was one with snow!!
"Take me back to Naples!"
We had Pacers versus Cleveland tickets so we battled the snowy roads and headed downtown for dinner at one of our favorites, Bosphorus, before hitting the game.
Such a handsome date and amazing food
I'm really not a huge NBA fan, but I'm fairly certain seeing LeBron James play in-person is a must-do for any sports fan. We had pretty decent seats (well, we were the front row of the lower balcony area) and enjoyed watching the Pacers blow a huge lead and lose. Whoops!
LeBron is down there. I promise!

By the time we got home from Naples, it was already mid-February and we needed to get our Valentine's Day treats delivered to our little loves.
Josslyn Bates agreed to be my valentine!
We spent time hanging out with the Bates family then dropped off valentines to the Porterfield kiddos, too. It is SO nice that they live within a mile of each other!

We finally got up to Marion to have a belated Christmas with my Dad and Diana!
The squad!

Everyone else looks better in this photo, but the last
one was better of me so I'm using both! HA!
I got a new zoom lens for my iPhone. How cool is that photo of my wedding ring?!
Taken with an iPhone! WOW!
They got Jackson a new little drone to play with that has already provided hours of entertainment around here! From Marion we continued our tour of Grant and Delaware counties by making a quick stop in at the Mauck's to deliver valentines and other assorted goods from "the big city."
Sir Liam is so big these days!

Two dirty dogs and Sir Liam playing
in the mud...that was the scene!

CASE!!!

This little guy still snuggles! Love it!
Kort is the most easy-going mom ever and allowed us to take her children outside on the lovely 66 degree day in February to play in the mud. We all played so hard including MacKenzie who was utterly filthy by the time we left!
MacK and Ella
We stopped in Upland that evening for a Duckwall family gathering and enjoyed catching up with family members we'd not seen in a long while. We got home super late Saturday night and MacKenzie was exhausted from a full day of excitement.
We spent most of Sunday snuggled up!
We had our own Valentine's Day celebration, of course, that included me making dinner (spaghetti aka the only thing I know how to make well) and a heart-shaped cake for dessert.
Fun shaped calories don't count, right?!
We got to puppysit for little Ella and the Porterfield girls were kind enough to swing by and help with all that puppy energy!
Jocelin and Ella

"Time to work? OK!"

She stole MacK's spot
While we LOVE having that little ball of energy around, it is a good reminder to appreciate just how easy MacKenzie is to care for these days. Perhaps having an older dog isn't so bad after all!
The world's most perfect pup!
As you can see, we've hit the ground running to catch up on all that we missed by being gone for so long. It is always nice to be home and surrounded by the ones you love. It is finally time to pay for all that fun and head back to both jobs for me: tax season is here!
