Friends and babes

I had a great talk with my dear friend Meg today. Her husband, Kyle, is serving in Iraq until February. He's been gone since July 7. That's a really long time. And Meg is all alone in sunny Southern California (I think of worse places to be- but being away from your family and friends sucks no matter where you are- I, of all people, understand that!) so we have a lot in common right now. Once again, I firmly believe that God places people in your life for a reason. Thanks for the encouragement, Meg.

We have a friend that we worked with at American Funds who is having a baby boy in a few months. She shops a lot for him, lucky little man! Guess his name? JACKSON! Well, technically William Jackson, but they are calling him Jackson. She knew my Jackson. How could she not see that the name Jackson is trouble!? Each time I hear a mother scolding her son his name is Jackson. (My Jackson says this is selective exposure) It just cracks me up that she's having a Jackson. Anyway, seeing all of her purchases for little Jackson gives me the baby fever! And I am forbidden from the fever (by Deb Duck) until I reside in Indiana. I want to have Kate/Carter in mid-May. You see I love having a summer birthday (perfectly space for Christmas). I do not, however, want any chance of sharing my birthday with my beloved child. Call me selfish or whatever you need to- I do not care. I'm not sharing my day! As a tax accountant, I also do not want a chance of having a child during tax season (which is really mid-December through mid-April). So May it is. It seems safe to aim for mid-May because even if they're late (I was 2 weeks late! Ask Deb...she'll tell you all about it!!!) they still will not come on my day. We'll have to watch for them coming on Jackson's day, May 12, but what are the odds? Really. I mean CeCe was born on Tom's birthday (may 25) so the chances of that repeating are quite low in my opinion. All of this to say, I want a baby but I have passed my window for this year. Grr.

OMG, not you too!!! lol I want a baby soooo bad, but I know that we cannot afford one right now. We need to have a house first and I'd like to be comfortable enough to be able to buy things for the baby and not feel guilty! So I guess I'll be waiting a while! So do you really think you'll try next year??? That is so exciting!! I totally agree on June being the PERFECT birthday month!!! Love you!!

Don't think having a birth on someone's birthday is unusual in our family. My brother was born on his grandfather's birthday in June!!! What does Jackson think about all of this baby talk? Good to talk with both of you last evening.

Love you both

One more thing... Where did you get your layout from? I looked through all the ones they have to choose from and they're all boring. Is there a website with more choices?? Sorry for all the questions! lol

If you had Kate/Carter on your b-day you would always have cake. THat is how I sold it to Tom. I will tell you to get through school or as much as possible. Because there is no time when they come. Also a baby will not make you happy. They cause you alot of stress, sleepless nights and overall craziness. Then they are born and it gets crazier and no schedule. Also you don't have to live in Indiana to have a baby. A 1000 miles will not keep susie from the baby.

oh goodness! The baby fever! hehe! I guess we would be wanting to get pregnant around the same time! How wonderful! I would want to get pregnant earlier too, but I want to be on the east coast when we have our first...and we don't know if Kyle will have one more deployment while we are in CA anyways. I love you, Jenna! I'm so glad we got to talk this week. It definitely was comforting for me as well!
