Hamilton Co.

We had a little over a month at home (which is a long time for us during non-tax season) so we found things to keep ourselves busy.

Being the honorary aunt and uncle to 6 children keeps us on our toes! We've been fortunate to hang out with 3 of our favorite families regularly. My favorite thing is playing with kids until we are all exhausted then returning to our quiet, clean house. I always feel like I've cheated the system when that happens! ;)

We also watched all 4 seasons of House of Cards (Netflix is kind of a national health nightmare as binge watching is the truest form of laziness). I don't love the show. It was interesting to see what all the fuss was about and to take it all in wondering how much really happens. Over all, though, we prefer Scandal.

I've enjoyed the additional freedom of working part-time, remotely for Ball State. Minus a few little bumps in the road (mainly insurance- my least favorite part of being a grownup) it has worked out really well for now. I realize now just how social I am and that working in an office closer to home would be ideal. Once we finish the big trip to Australia/New Zealand/China this winter I'll get busy finding a more traditional gig again.

Jackson has been hard at work making my home office dreams a reality. He built my desk and bookshelves and we bought two new chairs. I've deemed furniture to be my least favorite thing to buy. It is so pricey and not really very exciting. We would just rather spend our funds on experiences. We've gotten to be such minimalists. Well, I have and force it on Jackson who, without my instance, would never get rid of ANYTHING! :)
