Seattle

MacK was uninterested in the 3:15 a.m. wake up call to
run us to the airport!
Jackson was a champ and dropped us off for our 6:30 a.m. flights.
Susan relieved that we made our tight connection in PHX
Our flight from Indy was delayed so we had about 5 minutes to connect. We made and so did our luggage, Whew!
Mt. Rainier from the air
We made it to Seattle, took an Uber to the hotel to drop off our luggage and then headed out to explore on a gorgeous, sunny Saturday!
The hill down to the market
A very important purchase for me.
The famous gum wall by Pike's Place Market

We did not add to the collection.
We walked and walked and walked some more, grabbed lunch at a wonderful Mexican restaurant along the alley of the market and then headed back to get cleaned up. We grabbed another ride, a Lyft this time due to their $5 off campaign, and headed out to the Ballard neighborhood to see my cousin Cortny and her family.
Elliott is a geography genius.
I love this about him.
Showing me his yoga moves
Cortny took us to a local ice cream place ("Walters") and Elliott suggested the chocolate ice cream. He did not let me down. It was delicious. We walked from the ice cream place to a neighborhood park with an awesome view.
The view from their local park, WOW.
Elliott climbing a tree at the park.
I really liked this kid!
I pretended to climb, too.
The view again,
Emmett is an adorable little guy!
Somehow I'd not met Cortny's sons! Elliott is 4.5 years old and Emmett is one already! Goodness. Mr. Elliott loves to talk about travel so we got along famously. We thoroughly enjoyed our quick visit. Thanks for hosting us, Cortny!

We took another Lyft back into the city and retired for the evening. It was an early morning and a busy day!
