Off to Naples!

Individual tax season has come to a close! Praise the Lord! To celebrate we snuck off to Naples on Thursday evening after work.
Jackson showing off his
"outfit of the day"
The flight was easy and we made it to the condo just in time for bed! We woke up Friday and hit my favorite breakfast joint for some nourishment before we took a long walk on the beach. Life is good!
Breakfast at Skillets is mandatory

Smoke from the wildfires!
I was unaware that Florida even had fires, but it turns out that they do. Parts of Naples were burning and it caused ash and soot to be EVERYWHERE. It was so sad to see people on the news losing their homes. Thankfully a rainstorm rolled through and calmed things down. We were a little bummed since we had wanted great beach weather, but it was certainly for the best! We spent time planning our time in Italy and just catching up on t.v. shows and sleep.
Testing out the condo's new electric grill
We did some cooking at home, too. Susie got a new grill and Jackson wanted to test it out. It worked. Ha! :)
Beachin'
The rain passed and we finally got some awesome days to soak in some more sun!
That's the sky we wanted to see!

Surf, sun and sand! YES!

Umm, too much sun!
Yeah, so, I guess not being out in the sun for months working on tax returns make you a little more susceptible to burning! Lesson learned! I lathered on a ton of sunscreen the next day to avoid doing any additional damage. Jackson did not and came home a nice shade of RED.
A Maserati with a huge dog in it = SO NAPLES
We did also get to spend some time at our favorite coffee shop, Bad Ass Coffee. Jackson loves their coffee ice cubes and I love the people watching. It all works out.

We took a late night flight back on Monday and ended up being on one of the least crowded flights ever. I love Southwest. I had a row to myself and so did Jackson. The flight attendants kept coming by and offering seconds and thirds (I declined, Jackson did not, of course). I read "A Dog's Purpose" (which was incredible) and Jackson watched the free television channels on his iPad. We landed and were in our car at the park and ride before our scheduled arrival time. Seriously, Southwest is amazing. The flight is already super easy and that experience was like having our own personal jet. I loved it!

We're stuck back in Indiana for about a month before we head out on the cruise. I have a lot of work to get done between now and then so the time should go by quickly.
