November...

Holy cats! Time is just flying by and I'm just trying to keep up! We finally got on the Bates' family calendar and saw their kiddos.
Look at Cameron! He's huge and ADORABLE!

Family night! :)

Love this kiddo!

Big Sis getting in on the photo, too!
On November 6th I went to the U.S. District Court in downtown Indianapolis for jury duty. I ultimately did not get selected for the jury. I believe it had to do with my not being a racist. The government's attorney were really fishing for older, racist folks and I just didn't fit. I felt bad because the defendant deserved to have someone willing to hear what happened and not just convict him based on the color of his skin. We have a long way to go on that front. I did look it up afterwards and he was convicted. Goodness me.
11 years of perfection!

Modeling her new coat
You guys, our precious MacKenzie turned 11 on November 7th. I cannot even begin to describe how much joy she's brought to our lives. Here's to, at least, 80 more years together.
Loving her goodies
My dear friend Amber re-injured her back so I took her a get well soon package complete with Gigi's cupcakes (simply the best), a ton of beauty essentials in sample sizes, nail polish and so on. She was the most excited about the desserts, I think.
I COOKED
I got inspired and made a recipe from my Whole30: sausage, potato and kale soup. I subbed spinach for the kale (because try as I may kale tastes like dirt) and Jackson said it was the best thing I'd ever made. This seems like a huge endorsement until you remember that I never cook so... :) Anyway, it was quite good!
How we feel about Christmas shopping

The next day, more shopping
We had to do our Christmas shopping early this year due to our travel schedule. I was elated to get going. Jackson did not feel the same way. Once I get into a groove, I just keep going! It turns out that is kind of costly. Whoops. :)
Added simply because MacKenzie is adorable when
I'm doing chores
Since we will be traveling, I decided to just hang up a few decorations and to do that early. Our fireplace is the only festive place in the whole house, but I enjoy it!

We did get on MacKenzie's bad side by agreeing to let little Ella come over for a visit.
Being a dog is exhausting

I sent this one to Guy calling it a photo of his favorites- HA!
Amber's get well soon package worked (that and time, I'd assume- ha!) and we were back to braving the cold for our walks on the Monon!
Amber and I braved the cold on her victorious return to exercising
