Our hotel is extremely nice, but the Europeans believe in small spaces. It is all we need, I guess.
Jackson illustrating how close the hallways are- eek.
If you know MacKenzie, you know that she loves to play ball so we about died when we passed this sign hanging near a school park. Classic. :)
We did extremely well today- we did not get lost one single time. That's a big deal! Here is Jackson riding the escalator down to the "tube" aka the subway.

I had to laugh tonight when we went exploring as there was a 2-story KFC in the middle of London's version of Times Square called "Piccadilly Circus." Really? KFC? It just made me laugh.
There is a the huge Ripley's Believe it Or Not. We didn't go in.
Doesn't it remind you of Times Square?
A red phone booth photo is a requirement when one is traveling to London. I'm holding an instant hot cocoa that was terrible. Ick. Below Jackson is making fun of me for being such a tourist. Hmp.

That is the "London Eye." It is like a big fancy ferris wheel that is super expensive to ride so we just looked at it from across the river.
Jackson checking out our map. We are hating life without our iPhones to save the day constantly.
Big Ben all lit up for Christmas.
STILL reading his map (but he looks so handsome when he navigates..)
Instead of "yield" they have "give way" signs. Hilarious. It seems much more polite to say give way. We just cannot get used to the way that they drive here! Sooo different. I get a kick out of the different words that they use here: lifts = elevators, cheers=thanks, bedrooms=hotel rooms. Love it.

So we had a heck of a time getting out of Denver and into Chicago, but we finally made it. Thankfully, we had a 4 hour layover in Chicago so we still made our flight to London without issue. We took sleeping pills in the airport and I slept for almost the entire 7.5 hour flight. Jackson was not as lucky and had trouble sleeping. Poor kid.
We got into London around 1 p.m. their time, went through customs, got our bags and hopped on the tube to our hotel. We iChatted with my Mom for a bit then headed out to get some dinner. We went to a pub called "Barley Mow" where Jackson had fish & Chips and a pint. I had salmon with potatoes. Both dishes were excellent! We were quite pleased and felt we had a very British dinner. :) Funny story: I asked for a Sprite. I had to repeat my request to 4 bartenders and finally they offered me "lemonade." I agreed only to get a clear lemon-lime flavored soda. It was not the Sprite that I know and love nor what it lemonade. It tickled me.
That's about all we've got so far. We intended to go to church tonight, but the lack of sleep caught up with Jackson and he's already sawing logs. :/
Merry Christmas everyone!
