Weekend wrap-up

Grace is playing lacrosse again this year so we went to see her play against Heritage Christian on Saturday morning. The sun was finally shining and though it was cold, we were dry. Hooray! Grace had an excellent assist in the game, but her team lost pretty badly. Boo!

It was quite clear that Grace's skills had improved and it was much more fun to watch now that we were a little more familiar with the game. That said, I'm still far from a lacrosse fan.

They don't look related at all, right?!

Grace could only hang out for a few minutes before getting on the team bus to head to another game across town. Kathy was back in Evansville running in a race so she didn't get to hang out with the whole crew. No worries, we will see her soon in SPAIN!

We spent the rest of the weekend doing typical stuff: cleaning out closets, going to the gym, catching naps, shopping, meal prepping for the week and just hanging out.

We did get a chance to run some treats and some medicine over to our friend Gunner who has torn his ACL. Poor buddy. We hope he feels better soon!

I had to work today (tax season does not officially end for me until May 15th) so Jackson ran errands and went to the driving range with his mom. Susan had us over for Jackson's pre-birthday dinner and I made him birthday brownies for the occasion.
I've joked that we will be celebrating Jackson's big 40th birthday for the next six weeks but it is pretty true. Oh well, he deserves it!!
