Denver to DC

We stayed at a hotel near the Denver airport and caught an early flight to Washington D.C. to spend the weekend there. We had some rewards points to use so we stayed at a brand new Intercontinental Hotel- the Wharf. The place was absolutely gorgeous. It was in a new little neighborhood full of restaurants and shops.
Shake Shack!
We started not feeling the best when we were leaving Denver and by the time we got to D.C. we were in full on sickness mode. This meant that we just grabbed food near to our room and headed back up to get comfortable.
A view of the harbor
I loved the view of the harbor from our room. I enjoyed basking in the sun and enjoying the unseasonably warm weather.
A first: Jackson napping when I'm not!

Sunset over the river

Obsessed with the cozy robes

Oh that view!!!
We decided to finally get out and see the District so we walked to one of our favorite restaurants, Nandos! It was delicious, of course. I'm seeing through writing these blogs that we have lots of favorite restaurants around the country.
Nando's--another favorite
One of the reasons  I wanted to come to D.C. was to see all of the Christmas lights before we spent most of the Christmas season in Aruba. D.C. did not disappoint.
Jackson and the National Tree
The city was lit up beautifully.

We walked around for hours before finally grabbing an Uber back to our room. It was a good day!
