Nebraska

A t-shirt in the University of Nebraska's bookstore. Classy. ;)
Dear Warren Buffett,

I have always wondered why you chose Omaha, Nebraska as your home base, but not anymore as my time spent in Nebraska erased all of my doubts about its allure. I was asked FOUR times if I was headed to UN for my freshman year. Bless their little hearts. I threatened to never leave a land where people thought I was 18 again. I bought a lottery ticket and got carded. He said I didn't look a day over 17! I don't hug, but I would have hugged him. The people were so friendly. I mean like out of their way to have conversations with you friendly. I stopped at a Cracker Barrel for dinner and intended to eat alone. I didn't have to eat alone as everyone around me adopted me as their own and kept me company. Nebraska was filled with good people. Lincoln was a great college town and the campus was big and gorgeous. Omaha was a super nice city and I'd love to go back to go to the college World Series that they host. (Tom Coomes would love Nebraska too as they were multiple Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's around the interstate.)

Warren, I now understand why you still live in the home that you bought in 1957 for $31,500 in one of Omaha's fancy neighborhoods. Why would you leave? They love you! Your face is on billboards all across the state advertising the University of Nebraska. They have signs about you in the bookstore. You're an honorary football coach! You've made it big and it all started in this small town.

Anyway, I thought long and hard about it and I am now able to name Nebraska as my 3rd favorite state in the union. Congratulations, Cornhuskers. ;)

Love,
Jenna
