I am BEYOND excited to formally announce that my older sister, Kylie, and her husband, Nick, are pregnant! They wanted a baby sooo badly and feared it was going to be a long process, but within a few months of "trying" (do not get me started on that one again as I prefer to think that a stork will bring baby U by at its due date) she is pregnant. YAY! She had her first ultrasound this week and that baby looked healthy and had a strong heartbeat, God is so good!
I have been pretty excited to be an Aunt of a little baby. I didn't pick Grace up until she was 5 and my brother's son was born when I was too young to really appreciate a baby. Kylie is kindly due on May 2nd therefore avoiding tax season and making the chances of my meeting the baby ASAP a lot more likely.
I have already sent the baby things for its nursery which is going to be done in a "Classic Pooh" theme. They are planning on having multiple children so this way they can keep reusing the nursery regardless of the baby's gender. Smart! I sent a few little Pooh things down when I first heard a few weeks ago. Then in Boston when I was at Cheers they had a onesie that read, "I don't even know MY name!" so I had to send it to my little baby U. I also bought the baby some of my favorite children's books about Corduroy and Curious George.
I guess it would be fair to say that I'm EXCITED! :) My Mom is pretty much bursting at the seams, too. I do have to admit that a tiny part of my excitement is that Kylie is producing the baby that my Mom keeps asking for allowing me to continue on without child. That's only a tiny part of my excitement, though, really. :) I'm more excited that Nick and Kylie wanted a baby and were blessed with a growing one so quickly.
Please continue to keep them in your prayers throughout the pregnancy.
