The School of Law has its own campus that is right near downtown Hartford.
Jackson looking handsome on UConn Law's campus. :)
Another view of campus.
There is a big soccer field on the edge of campus, too.
We caught the red-eye flight from Denver last night and got into Boston very early this morning. We rented a car and headed west to Connecticut. We were so early that we made it to CT far before we had expected to and were pleasantly surprised that our hotel let us check in early to crash. We rescheduled my interview/tour at UConn for the afternoon and slept like logs for about 4 hours. It was lovely.
We liked UConn's campus a lot. It was very small. The buildings were pretty and reminiscent of a little school about an hour south of here- Yale. The area around the school was quite questionable. That's a polite way to say it was a gorgeous campus in the middle of the GHETTO.
We made our way over to West Hartford where they have a really neat town center where we had lunch and walked around. It is really cold and rainy here- we have not seen rain in so long that we were a bit shocked by it- so we've been keeping things pretty mellow.
The jury is still out on our thoughts of this area. The traffic tonight was horrible. It took us over an hour to go 12 miles. Granted, it was 5:00 on a Friday, but still. It stunk. I'm not sure I could deal with that all of the time. That and these gray skies are a little odd, too. I think we've gotten spoiled by the 300+ days of sun in Denver!
