Veterans Day

Above is a photo of my dear friend Megan's husband Kyle and his Platoon's officers and staff. Kyle is the 3rd from the left. He's such a handsome Marine. :) I got the chance to hang with Megan and Kyle for nearing a week in May and it was so much fun. Kyle let me try on his vest (it was soo heavy!) and helmet. I looked pretty tough. ;) I have such a deep respect for the sacrifices that our military men and women (and their spouses and families) make. I know firsthand that uprooting yourself from home is not the most fun thing to do, yet they are forced to move quite often. A lot of my friends from high school have served and I am so proud of them. My grandpa, dad and Jackson's father all spent their time serving this great country, too. I appreciate their efforts so much. Thank you to all of our veterans. God Bless America. :)

Well stated! I too am thankful for the sacrifices that so many military personnel have made. My brother, Derek missed things like, his sons 1st, and 2nd birthdays due to serving in the Navy and being on assignment. He missed out on a lot of things around home for being deployed so often and for such long periods of time. We sometimes forget about that side of the sacrifice.
Thank you Derek! Thank you each and every current and former veteran!
I realize today is not Veterans Day but we need to be grateful EVERYDAY for our Soldiers. May God bless them everyone!!

Thanks for the shout out, Jenna! I am so thankful for the hard work that my husband does. I'm so proud of him and know that he is making a big difference, whether the media wants to admit it or not. So many men and women have sacrificed in so many ways over the course of our country's history, and continue to sacrifice every day. Thank you so much for the support you give me. I wish I could fully express how much you mean to me- especially when I am so far away from my friends and family. It is people like you that help me to keep it together. I love you so much!
