Kate McRae

I love to read blogs. I get linked into the lives of all kinds of interesting people by blogs. Last week I found the story of Kate McRae. Her story touched me in a way that I never knew a stranger's story could. I think perhaps it is that fact that we want to name our daughter Kathryn and call her Kate. I do not know. Anyway, Kate has cancer. One week ago today she told her mom that her hand would not stop shaking. (I mentioned this story in the "instants" blog.) She's now had brain surgery and is fighting for her life. She is the cutest little girl. Ugh. I just hate it for her. I want her healed and back out playing. Her parents are keeping a blog at: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mcraekate
Please, if you think of Kate during the day, send a prayer up for her. She needs them.
Kate is in Arizona so John McCain came to see her. I don't care how you lean politically (I usually care, but not when it comes to Kate today) you have to know how special that visit must have been.
Kate had an even more special visitor (Sorry, John.) in Tiger! He's a therapy dog who brings smiles to the faces of sick children. My heart melted at this photo. Kate's parents say she has always wanted her own dog. I hope she gets one.
Again, I do not know Kate or her family personally but I want her to get better and lead a long and healthy life...please pray for her.

I get emails each morning from Rev. Run. He was a member of Run DMC and is now a minister. This is what it read, "Good morning. Today we CAN make great things happen. If it is a desire and you want it bad enough and work on it hard enough, IT IS POSSIBLE! The scripture says, “with God ALL things are possible!” Remember not impossible but, HIM-POSSIBLE!" I found it fitting to this blog post.
