MacKenzie taking a break in the hotel room. She's not technically allowed in so we snuck her for the afternoon. It is cool tonight, though, so she is sleeping in her cage in the car. 
We stopped in at a nature reserve park and did some animal spotting. This is an Elk. 
Arctic Wolves. MacKenzie wanted to play- we think she thought they were big dogs.

Big-horned sheep. We have these in Colorado and had seen them before.

We saw a ton of bears! Holy cow they were HUGE!
This guy got really close. I screamed. A lot.

I made Jackson do corny poses- a lot. He loves me. :)

My quick photo of Mt. Rushmore before it got foggy, rained and the fireworks were ruined. BOO! Hiss! The whole reason we can and it was a bust. At least we got to see bears!!

Poor Mackenzie had to sleep alone in the car :( Sorry you didn't get to see the fireworks!! That really stinks! But looks like you guys had fun anyway.
