I had a great visit at home! I got to have dinner with my Dad and Diana on Friday night. Pizza King-yum! My dad LOVED MacKenzie and threw the ball to her the entire night. That man needs a dog. I was excited to see all of Marion's new additions: Moe's, White Castle, Sonic, Culvers and Meijer to name a few. That place is still growing and it makes me happy. I slept in Upland that night in my Mom's "cave." I so love that guest room without windows. If they could just get those little dogs to sleep in just a touch longer it would be perfect! ;)
Saturday my Mom ran errands with me in Marion and then I pretty much cleaned her entire house. What vacation?! ;) Just kidding. I was happy to help. I love to clean. It restores order to a chaotic world. We had a party for my grandparents that had a great turnout. There was a lady there who had a heart transplant who gave us far too much information, but other than that I enjoyed myself. I like my family! Shannon came by (she might as well be family) and went with us for a wild night at La Hacienda. That was fun. :)
Sunday morning I went back to Indianapolis to get Susie for church. We met Laura there and had a run-in with Ross and Michelle! These are the kinds of things that make me miss home: friends! We stopped by the Westfield house so I could see it. It is certainly coming together. I hope it sells quickly. We went for Mexican, of course, and then I went to see Heidi's baby bump. It was smaller than I look on an everyday basis so that was somewhat discouraging. ;) She's already 18 weeks into the pregnancy- time flies when you're not that one that's pregnant! :) I caught up with Heidi, Laura and Andrew for a couple hours then headed to dinner with Shannon and a girl from high school, Amber. It was fun to catch up and hang out with just girls. I do not do that very often anymore. I went to the EMPTY Indianapolis airport and headed for Denver. I was quite happy to see Jackson's smiling face picking me up. He's so handsome. :)
I have to share this: I randomly had a dollar bill in my wallet today- totally unusual for me to have any cash at all- so I decided to buy a Powerball ticket. The lady CARDED me! I had just come from work and she said I didn't look a day over 17. I threatened to hug her and take her home with me. It made my day. :):)
We leave for Boston soon. Jackson is flying to Indianapolis on Wednesday evening since we had planned on him leaving from Indy when we booked the trip. I'll leave from Colorado Springs (to fly to Denver to fly to Boston- do NOT get me started on how stupid United Airlines is for that one but I saved $200 doing it that way) to meet Jackson and Susie there. Our friend Meg stocked me up on movies for my flights so I am somewhat OK with how LONG I'm going to be stuck in on an airplane. MacKenzie will be spending time in Upland with all of the other dogs while we're away. Speaking of the other dogs, Addie has to have a tumor removed tomorrow and little Macy has an infection so if you'd keep them in your pet prayers I would certainly appreciate it.
