What a week!

Well it has been quite a week. I decided to just recap everything that has happened in list order as to make reading this a little less painful.

-Our renters in Westfield moved out in less than 24 hours because they didn't want to sign a new lease. They had already paid (we thought) for 45 more days in the house, but after about a week of screwing us around the bank finally confirmed that their check had been stopped. Sigh.
-Since the bank got their check stopped, we are forced to keep their security deposit to pay for such things as having the locks changed since they kept some keys and getting the carpets cleaned because they had 3 dogs AND smoked--GRRRRRRRR
-Jenna has officially removed herself from the landlord business in Westfield, In.
-We decided to list the house for sale with a realtor who is one of Susie's friends kid. Whew. Follow that one. Anyway, she has given us the "friends and family discount" and cut her take to 5%. That's down from 7% which is a big deal on a $140,000 house.
-Jackson is going to pick up a trailer filled with office supplies tomorrow in Durango. He's then putting some of our stuff that we won't need for the next year in the trailer, too, and heading for Indiana. He should be in God's country around Tuesday evening.
-MacKenzie will be keeping her dad company on the drive to Indiana (not the drive to Durango as she'll be helping Mommy study) and staying there until September 1. When Jackson flies back from Boston he'll pick up MacKenzie from God's country (Upland) and bring her home on a Southwest flight. We have already arranged to medicate her for the flight.
-While Jackson is in Indiana he will be ripping out a dilapidated deck in Westfield, hanging some new doors, having some new lights hung, getting the shower tiled, etc. He will have help- thank goodness! He'll be a busy boy!!
-Jackson will head for CO on August 15th in the early morning. He will leave MacKenzie in Indiana so that she doesn't have to go to Camp Bow Wow while we're in Boston. We will miss her terribly.
-Jackson starts his new job on August 17th. YAY! What a blessing to get a call the day after the interview with an offer. He must have nailed it. :)
-Stepping back in time, I will be studying most of today, tomorrow and Monday. I have to work Tuesday- Friday and have finals on Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 6-9. I do not have life envy for myself so I am certain none of you do either!
-Things at my job have picked up A LOT and I'm as busy as ever preparing the most complicated tax returns on the face of the planet (in my humble opinion, that is).
-I'm going back to Indiana on August 20th to see my Grandma who is home for the summer. I'll also be seeing my love, MacKenzie. It will be so funny to go visit her! LOL! I have lots of family time planned and it should be a nice visit.
-August 27th Jackson, Susie and I (from multiple airports) will be meeting in Boston. We'll have a lovely vacation there. I cannot wait!
-We're looking at new apartments today in hopes of finding a little nicer place to live minus loud neighbor. We'll be moving over Labor day.

WHEW! So that is everything that we've been coordinating here lately. Throw on top of that starting my womanly cycle and it is a wonder that Jackson and I are still married! We actually (he is sooo proud of this fact) have not fought one time during all of this stress. What a team! :)
