Jackson and I went out to do some price shopping today. We have a lot of work to do in the Westfield house and we wanted to start getting a handle on pricing. We went to Lowe's to look at light fixtures, carpet and tile. The prices were reasonable and we were pleased. We grabbed a little lunch then headed to the furniture store. We wanted to get a handle on what type of furniture we wanted to get for the new place. We never intended to buy anything today, but I saw this chair and fell in love. Jackson and I went back and forth for literally 3 hours because of the salmon color in it that he hated. Finally Jackson admitted defeat and grew to like the chair. Or so he says. I think he just wanted to leave the furniture store. I'm a wee bit stubborn, too, so that does not help. We got a steal of a deal on a new office chair- $45 for a super nice chair. We have wanted a new office chair for about 3 years now so it was a great find. We got this chair for $200 and 2 pillows to match it for the couch for $30. We sold our furniture on Craigslist for $125 so far and have more to be sold. We think we'll break about even in the furniture swapping! We also had a $50 reward card from some hotel stays so all-in-all it was a pretty inexpensive day. We're pleased with the new chair. It is all wrapped up and ready to be moved. It may be a bit silly to buy furniture just to move it, but I loved the chair and could not leave it there! We DO intend to get the leather chair out of your closet, Susie. Chill. ;) It is going in the "man room."

Jackson said you threw a fit about how that chair better find a place to go, too! I can only go on what I'm given! The man room will be the smaller upstairs bedroom.
