I think I'll go to Boston...

My pictures are working again! Yippee. I understand that most of my blog readers do not enjoy posts without photos. I'm pleased to provide them this time. :)

We got to Boston around 2 on Thursday afternoon, rented a car and headed to the hotel. We stayed in an AWESOME room. It was a two bedroom suite that was honestly as big as our old condo in Parker. It had a great view of the Boston harbor. It was just plain awesome.

We checked in and headed for some sight-seeing. We took a ferry over to a place called Legal Seafood in Boston. It is extremely famous around here and everyone recommended it. I LOVED the food. It was SO good. I tried their lobster bisque and loved it. We walked all over the town on the Freedom Trail seeing the sights. We stopped for a beer at Cheers. We walked through the Boston Commons. It was a wonderful day of fun.
The view from the ferry. What pretty bridge!
Susie and I with the lobster bisque that I raved about earlier in the post. YUM!
Jackson had their lobster roll. It came highly recommended and did not disappoint.
Susie and I both had crab cakes for lunch. They were excellent, too.
Guy LOVES the Food Network and when I was in Indiana last weekend we watched a special about Boston that featured this hotel. I did not try to cake as I didn't think that I'd like it, but it was neat to see the place that had just been on t.v.!
Susie was just dying to go to Cheers. I have never really seen the show so it was not a huge deal to me, but we went and they had beer to my Sprite. It was a pretty cool place and we met from nice people from California. We even had friends in common- small world!
Jackson took some pictures of the Massachusetts capitol building with the golden dome.

This was where some famous old dude had lived...(Can you tell that I just LOVE history?!)
This is a much better picture of the capitol building...
We walked ALL over the city. We went through little Italy and Susie had a fresh cannoli. They filled it right in front of us. Pretty cool.
She really enjoyed the dessert!
