Naples

It is always good to get to some warm weather. Naples did not disappoint. "Season" is not our favorite time to be there since it is so crowded, but a little sun and sand made up for that pretty quickly. Susan was in Antarctica (!!!) and we didn't want the condo to sit empty. You know us, we are givers. ;)

The poverty in Naples is so concerning

My favorite house on the beach

Sun, sand and SMOOTHIES?! YES!

I went to the pool while Jackson golfed

We caught some sunsets
Meanwhile, MacKenzie stayed with her Uncle Aaron who recently adopted cat. MacKenzie had never met a cat so this was quite the adventure. By the end she was willing to share a Purdue blanket with the cat, this is pretty world peace.

She wasn't upset to be back to being an only pet, though!

Quick catch up...

I'm very behind on blogging, but I have been prepping a ton of tax returns, working a lot and we did mix in a quick trip to Naples so life hasn't been all bad. I got to read a book for fun in the middle of tax season (what?!?!) which was lovely. I've also been listening to a ton of podcasts lately because it is like having company at my sometimes lonely job!

One podcast I recently listened to had the author Allison Fallon on as a guest. I'd not heard of her before, but her interview was so great that I went to her website. There I found what I think has to be one of the best articles I'd ever read. It was called, "The Damaging Power of Perfectionism." I sent the link to my mom and told her no article would ever help her to know me better. For the record, I have never been suicidal. Otherwise, this article felt like it was written for me. I even use my perfectionism at a "plus and minus" in job interviews!

I'll post some fun photos from Naples soon. It is snowing here. I was not ready for that again.
