Saturday in E-ville

We took the new I-69 addition today. It was the emptiest interstate I've ever driven. I was so bored. I guess I like a little traffic.

MacKenzie was happy to see her cousin Monty after that long drive!

Monty was happy to get a little love from handsome Mr. Jackson.

We came down to go to Alex's 3rd birthday party at Pump it Up- a bounce house place.

The birthday boy enjoyed the slides with his dad.

He had a great party and we were all worn out from jumping and running around.

Jackson pretending to be a king for the day. (Isn't he so handsome?!)

Alex got just a TON of new toys!

He had a great time opening ALL of his gifts.

My folks got him a new huge sandbox and he got tons of new toys to play with while he hangs out in the sand.

We met up with my sister and Nick for dinner in downtown Evansville. They were having a BBQ festival that we wanted to check out. By the time we got there it was about over. We did catch a quick glimpse of a pig all done up. Gross.

Leo convinced us to eat at Max & Erma's. I thought it was an old folk's restaurant, but it was actually good. You were right, Leo. (She wouldn't give up saying "I told you so" when we enjoyed our dinners.) We learned tonight that, up until last week, my older sister thought the numbers on gas pumps (87,89,93, etc.) meant when the oil was drawn from the well. Yep. Yep. (She's able to laugh at herself. No worries.)

We stopped in at the casino and tried to win some cash. We actually got to play for a few minutes and turned $20 into $11. Oops. Jackson then felt lucky and got us back up to $19.98. We cashed out and deemed our fun worth two cents. I watched the end of the Louisville game in the casino with some kind strangers. It was...interesting as Southern Indiana generally is. ;)

We had a fun day and would like to thank Kathi for letting us stay at her place even though they're out of town!
