DZ dinner party

There are some dinner parties that you just will never forget. The one we attended at the former Delta Zeta house at DePauw University will stick with us forever. One of my good friends from my Deloitte Tax days now works at DePauw as an accountant and got this sweet deal to be the caretaker at DZ's old sorority house on campus. You see, DZ had some questionable recruiting practices and were removed from campus back in 2006. The house is now empty of soro-stitutes, but is still pretty furnished. It is as if aliens invaded. It was a little creepy and majorly awesome.
An awesome place for a dinner party
We insisted on taking a tour and we were not disappointed.
Cold dorms
It seems these girls all slept in the same room. It was just lined with bunk-beds. This seemed to odd to all of us and we kept hoping none of the girls snored.
An old orphanage?
There was another room with a few more single beds in it. We thought it looked like a mental ward or an abandoned orphanage.
Nice gym ;)
One of the reasons DZ got kicked off campus had to do with their removal of "fat" sisters. We couldn't imagine how girls could have been overweight with such a sweet gym in the basement. Oh wait... ;)
Jenny and Chris lead Corey, Ashley, Jackson and I on the tour
We really felt like we were on an organized tour of a haunted house. Once we arrived in Greencastle a thunderstorm unleashed some massive rain and that just added to the atmosphere.
Chapter room. In the basement. That makes sense, no?
It was pretty crazy to get to see the chapter room and everything. I didn't even have to pretend to be friends with anyone and wears stupid Greek letters to get in. Winning. ;) (Oops, did my distain for all things Greek just show?!)
Our dining room for the evening
We dined in the formal dining area. Jenny and Chris had a chimichanga bar where we assembled our own delicious creations. It was so fun to catch up with two of our favorite couples in such a cool place. We're only slightly jealous that BSU doesn't have any Greek houses that need caretakers!
