Christmas weekend!

Since we will be in Los Angeles for Christmas this year (for those of you keeping track that makes it 2006 & 2007: Evansville, 2008: NYC, 2009: London, 2010: Key West, 2011: Palm Beach, 2012: Costa Maya, Mexico) we continued to celebrate it early over the weekend. It worked out just fine except we really didn't accelerate our shopping as we should have and had a mildly stressful last push at the end there. Whoops.

Friday night we met my Dad and Diana for dinner at Logan's Roadhouse in Noblesville. It was such a good meal. We should really go there more often! Anyway, Diana got the most in exciting gift of the season from us: a Swiffer wet jet! She wanted it for her new kitchen flooring. I promise she asked for it and we don't generally push cleaning products on others. (I love to clean but I know that's kind of a unique trait!) Anyway, it was nice to see them and get to catchup for a bit.
Saturday we de-Christmas'ed our house in preparation for being out of town. That took about an hour since we've really cut down on the decor these days. Something about not being home for the holiday makes too much decor seem silly! I was pleased to see that Mom and Guy did a real tree this year. Mom hasn't been big on trees for years now but Guy always makes them so pretty with an ivory soap mixture that looks like snow. (This was around way before Pinterest but would totally be a hit on there I think. I'm purely speculating because I still refuse to use that site.) Anyway, their tree was gorgeous and I loved it!
Macy really enjoyed her new ball that we brought.
Madison preferred the bag of treats we brought and even helped herself to one without asking! Ha! Sneaky little pooch. She stuck pretty close to me for the rest of the evening thinking I had more good. Whatever works. I love hanging out with her! :)
Justin got Purdue floor mats. I thought that's what their diplomas were for? (Sorry. Had to.) He's pretty into this whole having his own car thing finally. He is a late adopter since he'll be 17 in like a week. By then I'd already had my license suspended for enjoying my freedom wheels a little too much! ;)
Macy was a big help to Guy while he opened his gifts- ha! Those mini schnauzers sure know their way around wrapping paper! ;)

As you have seen, we had an excellent Christmas this year. All of the gifts we received were thoughtful and generous. We had some delicious meals and made some great memories. We appreciate our loved ones very much!

We hope you and yours have a great holiday. Merry Christmas!
