Another day on the island...

We slept in this morning before heading out for a long walk around our neighborhood for the week.

The walk was exhausting. The hills here are no joke and it was HOT out. We loved that part, though. There aren't many sidewalks here so you just walk and hope for the best. A little odd, no doubt. Then we came back and got ready for a day at the beach. We decided to check out Cupecoy Beach today. Whew. Check it out we did. It turns out that it is a nude beach. YEP. To say that it was mortifying would be an understatement. The first beach we stumbled upon was a nude beach. That wasn't our style so we kept moving. Then we got to an elderly nude beach. That still wasn't our style but the beach ended and we had no choice. We opted to throw our stuff down and head into the surf. The beaches were beautiful as was the water. We just wished the old folks had some decency!

We spent about an hour there before the nudity was simply too much and we had to go. We popped down to Mullet Bay's beach where there were more families and no nudity. Woot! The beach was nice and we soaked in some sun for most of the afternoon. We made it back to our condo in time to see another sunset before cleaning up for dinner.

I was really proud of myself for trying our a new style of food. While the spices were not for me, it was a fun experience. My date could not have been more handsome, either!

MACKENZIE!!!!

My brother is watching MacKenzie and does not have an iPhone. This means we cannot easily communicate with him like we can my mom through iMessage and FaceTime over an internet connection. We knew Aaron took MacK to Upland tonight for Christmas so we had to call in to say hi to our girl. She was adorable and didn't seem to miss us much at all. :( We know she is in good hands. We had a pretty good day today. It was...odd to be at a nude beach but it makes for some funny stories. We are off to St. Barth's tomorrow which is supposed to be amazing so we are excited.
