Somersaulting...

We went for our monthly (give or take) dinner with the Porterfield family last night and had a great time as we always do. Sir Jax has gotten SO BIG and Ms. Jocelin is still TINY! I cannot believe how little she is at 5 months- I love it! :)
Doesn't Jax have the most awesome playroom? I love it in there.
Heidi was so proud that Jocelin's outfit matched her doll's. It was pretty stinkin' cute. There is a little fur vest that goes with the outfit but Jocelin wasn't rocking that part by the evening time.
Jocelin is a jumping machine and got down with herself in this thing (does it have a proper name?). Heidi and Andrew kept calling Jocelin "high maintenance" because she likes her bottle a certain temperature and is quite opinionated already. She likes to get her way and makes it known when she doesn't. I knew I liked that little girl- she's after my own heart. I gave her a little pep talk about keeping this attitude up throughout life and she won't be disappointed. HA! :) What? :) Heidi wasn't too thrilled when I announced that I was like that as a baby, too. I'm hurt. ;)
ACTION SHOT!

Jackson always thinks that Jocelin will want to be held by him. He's always wrong. ;):)
Here is the part where I brag about Heidi: She has TWO kids (one potty training and one learning to eat oatmeal which I hear are two really large tasks) and managed to make an awesome dinner and THE BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD IN ALL OF MY YEARS FROM SCRATCH. That is not an exaggeration; it was the best cake I have ever had. I had the slice she sent home with me for breakfast this morning and it was amazing. It was the single best way to start a raining day. EVER.
Jackson tried to feed Jocelin while we ate cake. I cannot blame her for protesting. The cake was so good that I'm certain she wanted a piece, too. Did I already mention how good the cake was?
He gave it a real effort until poor Jocelin couldn't take anymore and moved into Heidi's capable arms.
I took my turn feed Jocelin while Gunner kept me company. I love that little dog. Jocelin was much more comfortable in this position and finished the rest of her *warm* bottle. :)
Jax was even more skilled at helping Jocelin than our good friend Jackson. ;)
"Thanks, bro"- Baby Jocelin

"Watch and learn, Jackson." - Jax

"Wipe off her mouth and she's finished!"- Jax

Jax was so sweet at the end of the night and cuddled with us on the couch while watching some weird cartoon that he LOVED. Thank you, as always, to the Porterfield family for hosting us!

I took a few videos for your viewing pleasure:
I told you poor Jocelin was not loving Jackson's feeding attempt. I felt really bad for her. Poor thing. Jax is into somersaulting now. Jackson and I are really TOO old for such activities, but we gave it our all. We're both sore this morning from tumbling. HA! (Sadly, I'm not kidding.)
