Our little friend Jax took after his "Aunt Jenn" this year and stretched out the celebration of his birth. Now that I know all that a mother goes through to get a kid to that point (birth and beyond) I feel that the whole celebrating the kid that day is odd. They didn't do anything, their mom did!* With this in mind, I sent Heidi an Edible Arrangement to celebrate her four years of successful parenting. Jax was clearly pretty pleased with this delivery, too. (Do Joss' pigtails not make you just swoon?!) I also think parents are generally too tough on themselves and I wanted her to know that I see how hard she and Pork are working to raise awesome kiddos!
*I shall never give up celebrating me for my birthday. I just thank my mom a little more that day. Ha!

Friday night I got to go to Jax's actual birthday party at Recreation Unlimited which is a store filled with playground equipment used as models. It was a pretty cool place to have rented out! I have known Heidi's family for what seems like forever and they're some of my favorites so I love getting to catch up with all of them. (It doesn't hurt that her mom made some mean chocolate cupcakes that were worth every calorie!)

She almost sounded fake because she'd say, "weeeeee!" every few minutes to make sure that we knew she was still enjoying herself on that swing! She's such a diva and I love it.
