One more month of tax season and then we'll be back on the road again! I promise the blog will be more exciting soon.
Here's a brief rundown of our scheduled adventures:
April 18-20: Washington D.C. for a Petefish family function. We're going to tour the Pentagon (YESSSSSSSSSSS!) and finally see some of the monuments we haven't managed to see yet. I'm also hoping that the cherry blossoms bloom late and we get to see them! :)
May 3: The mini-marathon in Indy. This will likely not be an exciting adventure, but the blog afterward with my complaints will surely entertain.
May 9-12: NORTH DAKOTA! We will be doing another half marathon (who had that bright idea?! Oh. ME! OOPS!) and seeing whatever sights there are to see in North Dakota and celebrating Mother's Day and Jackson's birthday!!**
Memorial Day: ehh...to be determined. Ideas welcome.
June 6-15: ALASKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 50 by 30 complete! (Note: I'll only be turning 27*** when we are there so I've completed that goal rather timely...ha!)
June 27-July 6: Colorado! Jackson has to be in Denver for a work conference and I'm flying out to join him on Friday evening. We're going to enjoy spending time in Denver again and then head up to Aspen for the 4th!
Labor Day: ehh...to be determined. Ideas welcome.
Labor Day-December 20: pinching pennies because...WAIT FOR IT! WAIT FOR IT! THE MOST EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT OF ALL FOLLOWS:
December 20-January 4: KIWI CHRISTMAS!!!! WE ARE GOING TO NEW ZEALAND AND THEN TO AUSTRALIA!****
See? I told you that the blog was about to get more exciting. I've wanted to have a "Kiwi Christmas" (New Zealanders are often called "Kiwis") for years. It is summertime there and they have all kinds of beach-themed celebrations of Christ's birth. I've also wanted to go to Australia since I was born (perhaps that is slightly exaggerated) so I am excited to see New Year's fireworks over the famed Sydney Opera house. Now we just have to make it through the next month of Indiana's fickle weather and tax season...siiiiigh.
**He's going to be old.
***I won't actually be 27. TEAR!
****I know CAPS mean you're screaming. I AM! I cannot deal with my excitement level. I'm more excited about this trip than any other much to Jackson's chagrin.
