20,000 steps

We walked over 8.5 miles today exploring this new city of ours. I have the most fantastic blisters on my pinkie toes that you'll ever see. Ugh. We did see a lot of new (to us- obviously nothing is really new in Boston!) things and places. We ate lunch at Legal Sea Foods (they space the words that way). I love that place. Their lobster bisque is the best out there. Seriously. I also had a fabulous crab cake. Jackson had a fried fish sandwich. It is a good thing we walked all day or I would have called him out for cheating on the PWLC (Petefish Weight Loss Challenge). My goal has been to hit 10,000 steps every single day. I doubled that today! Woot! I also have not had a Sprite or sweet tea in 5 days! I know. That's HUGE. (Admission: there is no sweet tea to be had here in New England so not drinking it has kind of been by default. I'm still counting it as something I've given up.)

We have gone exploring quite a bit in the last few weeks. We have discovered that areas turn ugly pretty quickly. We went to a grocery store last night that was just plain scary. Let's just say that we were happy to not be wearing blue or red. (Gang colors.) We got in and out as quickly as we could. We even forgot to buy stuff that was on our list because we were so rattled. We were totally and completely out of place. It was not a good feeling. We've noted it and will not be returning to that area.

I got my oil changed today. The guy at the Audi store tried to tell me new brakes- $640- and a new battery- $327. No way. I had not even been having issues with either. I was so annoyed. I hate when they try to take advantage of you. And those prices were insane. INSANE! Ugh. I got a little stressed out. I've never had a car that is not in warranty anymore. I just had my car inspected in Colorado before it ran out of warranty and everything was "fine." It is a little scary. We won't be driving much out here so here is hoping that my cute little car doesn't turn into a money pit. :/

I am impressed with all of your walking. I did not do that many steps but MacK keeps me moving. I will miss her when she is back with her parents. Oops, I ate a fried tenderloin today!!!!

That is a TON of walking! You be careful out there, missy! Oh, and all that seafood sounds incredible!
