I've lost twenty pounds since May 10th. Let that sink in for a minute. 20 pounds. I'm elated. I'm ecstatic. I'm a little ball of joy. Ok, you get it. I'm happy. I'm feeling good and think I have finally built up the momentum to shed the extra weight forever this time. I've been working with my doctor and sticking to a low calorie (1,200) diet. Jackson and I have been working out almost every single day. We either hit the gym, go to a class or take MacKenzie for really long walks. She's assured us that she'll need more treats if we keep this up since she didn't need to shed any pounds herself. Ha!
We've gone back to using our Nutribullet to make smoothies for breakfast each morning.

Isn't it amazing how spinach and fruit mixed together turns into a treat?! |
I feel so much better when I am eating right and really focusing on exercising daily. I have a long, long way to go with perfecting what I can eat and what I'm better just to avoid, but I'm getting there. I also still have a lot of pounds to shed, but I feel like I'm on my way and that's exciting. Jackson has been losing quite a bit, too. (I maintain that it is easier for him to lose weight and that Eve really hurt all women when she ate that apple.) I've been keeping track of my meals on
myfitnesspal.com and cannot recommend that site/app enough. Once you are an informed eater sticking with your plan becomes much, much easier.

Present in the mail :) |
Since we've been spending more time in the gym for our runs and lifting, I decided to get myself a pair of the fancy headphones Jackson got for Christmas from my Mom and Guy. It turns out we had enough frequent flier miles to get these puppies delivered the next day for free. Cha-ching!
I'm going to keep at this getting healthy thing so please do not place warm brownies anywhere near me. Listen, everyone has their limits. ;)
