Upland in the "summer"

We arrived safely back in the U.S. late Saturday evening. Might I say that the U.S.A. has far better organization and facilities than the Turks and Caicos and a small piece of me was happy to be home.

Sunday morning we headed to Upland to get our little pup who had spent her summer vacation with the 3 other pups who live there.
They even perfected a begging formation
I think she had a great time and she certainly made herself right at home. Gosh, you'd think she was my dog or something with that attitude. ;)
My Mom helping MacKenzie "hunt" for chipmunks...thanks, Mom ;)
We hung out around Upland for most of the afternoon. Something about being at the "barn house" makes me relax and unwind. It was a chilly, rainy day so we had homemade chicken potpie (the best food...ever!) and Ivanhoe's ice cream for dessert. (Oh, you didn't know that calories consumed in Upland don't stick? Yeah, you're not alone. My scale also wasn't buying that. HA!)
Thanking Madison for caring for MacKenzie
One of my very favorite parts of any trip to Upland is getting to see Ms. Madison. She's been with our family since 2001 and just has my heart like none other (much to MacKenzie's chagrin). Guy found Jackson a new car so we did a test drive of it and "signed the dotted line." It is getting all cleaned up and I'll pick it up later this week.

Thanks again to my Mom and Guy for keeping MacKenzie for a week. She's exhausted and may sleep until next week I think!

It was our pleasure, keeping MacKenzie! She is an easy house guest. Glad you had a great trip!
